More about Donegal
Glengesh and Maghera caves are just two of the breath-taking places in the west of the county. Inland the most well-known landmark is the distinctive Mount Errigal, as shown here. This alpine mountain forms one of Derryveagh range, which are equally worth visiting in Winter, as seen from this impression on New Year's Day 2004:
Glenveagh National Park and castle are a must for visitors to the north of the county, and these are just a short drive from the historic and picturesque town of Ramelton. Donegal is renowned for its music, with it's own style of fiddle playing. Sessions are held in pubs all over the county:
